Project overview:
FlyGreener is a carbon offset program introduced by Rogers Aviation, through its travel agency company BlueSky. The program aims to promote sustainable travel by raising awareness and allowing travellers to offset their carbon footprint from air travel, hotel stays, and car rental, and by contributing to carbon-reducing projects.
FlyGreener supports various carbon offset projects, including renewable energy projects, reforestation initiatives, and energy efficiency programs. These projects are Gold Standard certified to ensure they meet high sustainability standards, contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and provide benefits to local populations.
To get started, once travellers book their itinerary, BlueSky calculates their carbon emissions. Those willing to participate in the FlyGreener program can then choose to contribute to a carbon offset project equivalent to the amount of carbon emissions generated by their trip. The program offers different pricing options depending on the length of the flight and the type of project chosen. BlueSky also provides downloadable reports to help clients understand the positive impact of their environmental contributions.

Our strategy:
At Rogers, we are committed to making a meaningful change in the world. The FlyGreener program by BlueSky is an initiative that aligns perfectly with our long-term strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve Net-Zero by 2050.
Our commitment to FlyGreener is not only about making a difference in Mauritius. It is about addressing climate change and contributing to a global shift towards a more sustainable planet.
Tracking progress:
BlueSky tracks several key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the program's success. Among them is the number of travellers participating in it, which reflects the program's reach and impact, and the amount of carbon emissions offset. It also tracks the progress of the projects it supports and provides downloadable reports.
