Empowering 500 employees to act on climate change through the Climate Fresk.
On this World Environment Day, we are thrilled to announce our unwavering commitment to a sustainable future and our dedication to empowering our employees to become catalysts for Meaningful Change. We are implementing an in-house Climate Fresk program, with the initial objective of empowering 500 employees within one year to act on the urgent issue of climate change.
Climate Fresk, an initiative led by the Climate Fresk Association, has rapidly gained momentum since its establishment in 2018. With a strong focus on empowering individuals and organisations, the program has successfully engaged over 1 million participants worldwide in more than 130 countries and has been translated into more than 45 languages. The exponential growth of Climate Fresk is a testament to its effectiveness and the dedication of its users.
This immersive and innovative three-hour scientifically grounded workshop uses a card-based format to explore the complexities of climate change. Participants gain a comprehensive understanding of climate change's causes, impacts, and solutions through interactive exercises and discussions.
Mickaël Apaya, Rogers’s Chief Sustainability & Inclusive Development Executive and a seasoned Climate Fresk facilitator is leading this initiative at Rogers, along with three other team members who recently underwent training as facilitators. The newly formed team increases the Group's ability to deliver this program to its employees.
We are now bringing this crucial education in-house. Our approach is about tying knowledge to action, ensuring the knowledge gained can be directly applied to our daily operations and our employees' personal lives. By empowering them to make informed decisions about climate change, we are building a solid network of change agents among a significant portion of our workforce. Their positive actions will create a ripple effect, inspiring their families, friends, and communities.
