Overview:
As the Human Resources Manager for our 5-star hotel, Heritage Awali, you will lead the HR function by driving key policies, strategies, and initiatives that support the overall business goals. Your role will be crucial in fostering a productive and engaging workplace while ensuring the organization's talent is managed effectively.
Your role:
- Oversee HR department performance, managing daily HR operations and ensuring smooth workflow that aligns department objectives with broader business goals.
- Conduct performance appraisals, leading annual and interim performance reviews, providing feedback, identifying areas for development, and creating individualized growth plans.
- Facilitate onboarding and transitions by ensuring probation reviews are completed on time, providing support and feedback to help new hires integrate effectively.
- Advise on team development and progressions, making recommendations to the General Manager for team members' promotions, role changes, and career development pathways.
- Ensure workplace discipline and policy compliance, implementing and upholding HR policies, ensuring compliance, and addressing any breaches to maintain a respectful, productive environment.
- Plan and execute employee welfare activities by organizing regular activities and events to promote team bonding, employee well-being, and engagement.
- Develop and implement retention strategies, creating tailored programs to retain talent within the Business Unit and focusing on satisfaction and growth opportunities for employees.
- Coach and train for skill development by acting as a mentor, delivering training sessions, supporting ongoing development, and providing guidance to foster a learning culture.
- Coordinate health & safety initiatives by attending committee meetings, driving adherence to workplace safety standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Build strong interpersonal relationships across teams, acting as a trusted advisor for both employees and management.
- Manage communication of key business messages, leading the dissemination of crucial messages and updates within the business unit, ensuring consistent and transparent communication.
- Address employee grievances and concerns promptly, providing resolutions and ensuring issues are managed with confidentiality and fairness.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify insights that guide improvements in employee satisfaction, productivity, and overall HR efficiency.
- Collaborate on strategic HR projects, working closely with leadership to contribute to broader HR initiatives, including talent development, succession planning, and organizational culture.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by staying up-to-date with labor laws and HR regulations, ensuring all HR practices are compliant, and advising the business on necessary adjustments.
Your profile:
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- Proven experience in HR policy and strategy implementation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Excellent coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to drive change, promote discipline, and develop retention programs.
- Proficiency in leading welfare and health & safety programs.
